What is GA4?

GA4 is Google's free website and app analytics tool, which records visits and behavior as events.

Google Analytics 4 · Marketing Glossary · Updated

GA4 became the standard when Universal Analytics (UA) stopped processing data in July 2023. It records actions such as page views, scrolls, button clicks and completed sign-ups as events, and important actions are marked as key events (formerly conversions).

Used with UTM parameters, it shows which channels and campaigns generated inquiries. If you install it, your privacy policy must explain the use of cookies.
