Privacy Policy
In accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and other relevant laws of Korea, MAKE Marketing discloses this privacy policy to protect customers' personal information and to explain clearly how it is processed.
This translation is for reference only. If it differs from the Korean original, the Korean original prevails.
1. Purpose of processing personal information
MAKE Marketing processes personal information to the extent necessary to receive website inquiries, verify and reply to inquirers, and propose, consult on and carry out marketing services. We may analyze visit and usage information for site statistics and service improvement, and if we use advertising analytics tools, we process information according to their purpose and settings. If the purpose of collection changes, we will give notice and obtain consent as required by law.
2. Personal information collected and how it is collected
- Website inquiry (required): Name, brand or company name, phone number, email
- Website inquiry (optional): Information the user enters, such as services of interest, monthly marketing budget and inquiry details
- Information that may be generated automatically when visiting or using the site: IP address, access date and time, browser and device information, pages visited, referral path, cookies or online identifiers, usage records
- How it is collected: Submission of the website inquiry form, direct contact from the user, and automatic collection through website access and the analytics tools actually in use
Automatically collected items may vary depending on the visit environment, the tools actually in operation and the user's cookie settings.
3. Processing and retention period
- Website inquiries and follow-up information: One year from the date the inquiry is received. However, if the purpose is achieved earlier or the data subject requests deletion, we destroy the information without delay unless the law requires it to be kept.
- Site security and access logs: Retained for the period required by the security policy of the actual operating environment and the relevant laws, then destroyed.
- Cookies and analytics information: Stored according to each cookie's expiry period and the actual service settings. When Google Analytics is used, the retention period for user- and event-level data follows the administrator setting (usually 2 or 14 months), and the _ga cookie can generally last up to 2 years. Deleting cookies or withdrawing consent may change whether data is collected afterwards.
- Separate retention required by law: Where records such as contracts and payments actually arise and the law requires them to be kept, they are stored separately for the period set by that law.
The inquiry retention period above (one year) is the operating standard set in this policy and is managed to match our actual internal storage and deletion policy.
4. Provision to third parties, outsourcing and use of external services
In principle, MAKE Marketing does not provide data subjects' personal information to third parties. However, we may use external services or outsource some personal information processing as follows to operate our services and analyze marketing data. The details below apply according to the services actually used and the scope of processing.
| Service / processor | Purpose and tasks | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify (Netlify, Inc.) | Website operation (hosting) and receipt and storage of inquiry form submissions | Applies to the current website and inquiry form |
| Google LLC (Google Ads, Google Analytics, etc.) | Looking up marketing data such as keyword search volume and competition, analyzing website visit and usage statistics, measuring ad performance | Where the Google tools are actually used or their tags are installed |
| Website hosting and email service providers | Website operation and access log processing, sending and receiving inquiry emails | To be specified after confirming the providers actually contracted and the scope of processing |
When we use external services or outsource tasks, we set out the measures needed for safe processing as required by law and carry out the necessary supervision. If the processors or the scope of processing change, we will reflect it in this policy. Except where permitted by law or with separate consent, we do not provide information to third parties for purposes unrelated to its collection.
5. Possible transfer of personal information abroad
When we use services from providers outside Korea, such as Netlify and Google, personal information may be transferred to and stored outside Korea (such as in the United States and Europe), depending on how the work is processed and where the servers are located. The specific destination countries, the recipients' contact details, the items, timing and method of transfer, the purpose and retention period, and how to refuse will be notified as required by law after checking the actual contracts and settings, and we will follow lawful procedures such as obtaining any necessary consent.
In particular, the current inquiry form is received and stored through Netlify's form handling, so the actual country of storage, retention period and overseas transfer notices must be checked together with the service contract and administrator settings. If Google Analytics or Google Ads is installed on the website, we will also check whether data is processed abroad under those settings and the legal requirements.
6. Installation, operation and refusal of cookies and other automatic collection tools
MAKE Marketing may use cookies and other automatic collection tools to operate the website and make it convenient to use. If Google Analytics or Google Ads tags are applied, cookies may be created to distinguish visitors, compile page usage statistics, and measure referral paths and ad performance. No Google Analytics or Google Ads tracking tags have been found in the site files currently provided, and we will update this section if they are introduced.
- Automatically collected items: Information that varies by tool and setting, such as cookie identifiers, visit date and time, pages visited, access environment and referral path
