What is CTR?
CTR (click-through rate) is the share of times an ad or search result was clicked out of the times it was shown.
Click Through Rate · Marketing Glossary · Updated
CTR shows how eye-catching the title, copy and image are. In search ads, CTR can affect ad quality scores, so it is also tied to cost.
If CTR is high but there are no conversions after the click, check whether the copy promises something different from what the page delivers.
Formula
CTR (%) = clicks ÷ impressions × 100
Sample If an ad was shown 1,000 times and clicked 30 times, CTR is 3%.
